I’ve always wondered what to say....
To kids who ask me why....
They need an education in....
A world that’s passing by....
To gain prestige or riches or....
Some 'semblance of success....
Are reasons mostly given, but....
Kids don’t relate, I guess....
One fellow gave an answer that....
‘Tho earthly, seemed to fit....
He spoke of reaching leadership....
And recommended it....
“Just think about the old mule train”....
His words so slowly came....
“‘Cause if you’re not the lead mule, son....
The scenery’s all the same!”....
